Ranger International FC of Enugu has continued its impressive run by winning two of its pre-season friendly matches in a build-up to the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The matches were played at the Ranger’s pre-season camp in Benin.
Rangers Media Director Foster Chime told NAN on Thursday in Enugu that the team thrashed visiting Lion Heart FC of Lagos 4-0 on Tuesday and Buffalos of Benin 3-1 on Wednesday.
Chime said that Rangers Technical Adviser Imama Amapakabo was satisfied with the victories.
“However, Amapakabo said the team is still work in progress until attaining perfection as more of friendly matches have been lined-up before and even after the Super-4 tournament,’’ he said.
The media director said that both old and new players would register for the Super-4 tournament.
The NPFL Super-4 would be used as a platform for commencement of the new season.
Rangers having won the league would be representing Nigeria in the 2016/2017 Confederation of African Football Champions League.
