Delta PDP chair, DESOPADEC boss, others hail Okpe monarch on 10th anniversary

Chairman, Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Kingsley Esiso; Chairman and Managing Director of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Olorogun William Makinde,  and member representing Okpe State constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, have described the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, HRM Orhue I,  as a bridge builder, a man of peace and integrity.

They spoke in separate statements congratulating the monarch on his 10 years anniversary on the throne.

According to Olorogun Makinde, the Orodje had demonstrated that he was installed by God through his peaceful and developmental strides in his kingdom, in Delta Central and Delta State as a whole, saying, “We wish to celebrate with the Okpe monarch, Okpe people and the entire Urhobo nation for the successful 10 years on the throne and advice the Okpe youths emulate their great king, while joining millions of Okpe people to give thanks to God for the life of their king.

We also advice the youths across the state to always shun vices capable of destroying the peace and development in their respective communities and assure the people of the Oil producing communities of the present board of the commission of their wiliness to development the communities.”

The state PDP chairman on his part also congratulated the monarch and wished him many years of successful reign.

Similarly, Oborevwori in a statement said the Okpe kingdom had been experiencing unprecedented peace and development since the Orodje ascended the throne 10 years ago.
