WARRI—Niger Delta Security Watch Organization of Nigeria, NDSWON, yesterday, claimed President Muhammadu Buhari was not prepared for non-violent resolution of the Niger Delta crisis.
The group in a statement by the president, Dickson Bekederemo, in Warri, Delta State, said: “The invasion of communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom and coastal territory is a deliberate ploy by soldiers to provoke war in the Niger Delta. President Buhari is not disposed to peaceful resolution of the Niger Delta question.
“For now, what the tiny minorities are saying, like the Ogoni in 1994, is stop exploration of our common inheritance. Let us agree on how to live together and on what terms. Those who are saying there is a dialogue process ongoing are economical with the truth. The meeting of November 1 with the President was hardly a dialogue.”
