PDP lauds Ugwuanyi for starting 35 projects across Enugu State

The Enugu State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State for his vision, steadfastness and sheer dexterity in simultaneously flagging off 35 developmental projects across the 17 Local Government Areas of the state to extend development to the rural areas.

The party through a statement by its state chairman, Hon. Augustine Nnamani said that the governor’s robust grassroots development initiatives, in spite of the current severe economic crisis facing the country, was a welcome development and a sign that he had a clear vision of how to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people, in line with the party’s manifesto.

Hon. Nnamani noted that Governor Ugwuanyi has distinguished himself creditably as “the man with a magic wand”, saying that the projects which comprise 25 roads, hospitals, water schemes, electricity among others, will boost local economy and improve the lives of the people especially at the grassroots.

He stated that the party was delighted at the commitment of the present administration in the state in fulfilling its campaign promises to the people, stressing that the governor’s unprecedented performance in office so far has increased the party’s popularity and chances of winning elections.

“The historic flag off ceremonies for 35 development projects across Enugu State yesterday by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration have no doubt showcased the sound vision and commitment of the PDP-led government to advance good governance in the state, despite the current economic crunch in the country. The governor has by these events kept faith with his promises to the people and the party is proud of his administration”, the state party chairman said.
