Osogbo—The All Progressives Congress APC, in Osun state has urged the Federal Government to do everything it takes to secure the release of the remaining Chibok girls still in Boko Haram’s captivity.
According to the party; “This should be treated as a national priority, because nothing will be considered too great or expensive to give, in order to save the lives of these girls”.
In a statement issued by the party’s Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy in Osogbo yesterday, Mr Kunle Oyatomi, the APC said that “the Federal Government has demonstrated that the life of every Nigerian is important and should be primary responsibility of the state to protect”.
According to APC, the abduction of the Chibok girls was a terrible tragedy that brought avoidable shame to our national psyche which portrayed the country as a place where life was taken for granted and treated with levity.
The APC said that government cannot delay further the release of the other victims and urged that ‘everything necessary and possible’ should be done to bring a quick resolution to this unfortunate event.
