#OndoDecides: Support Group tasks electorate on Heart-to-Heart campaign for Jegede

As Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ceremoniously flags off his governorship bid, a coalition known as Independent Support for Eyitayo (ISE) has tasked volunteers and party faithful to show hearty commitment to the campaign.

The group said it would be leading a “Heart-to-Heart campaign” in support of the PDP candidate to enlist the sincere commitment of the people to achieve a convincing victory for Jegede on November 26, 2016.

The group whose chosen campaign slogan is popularly known as #GreaterOndoTogether stated this in a statement signed by it Conveners, Messrs Dare Atoye, Ojugo Onyeluka, Jude Ndukwe and Ilemona Onoja.

ISE is a coalition of eminent groups and concerned Nigerians across political divides and interests who trust in the leadership qualities of Eyitayo Jegede to succeed Gov. Olusegun Mimko in Ondo State. Many influential members have elected to be anonymous.

“Our commitment to this campaign is to garner a pan-Nigeria support for Eyitayo and enlist the sincere support of volunteers and party members to this God-ordained project by initiating a Heart-to-Heart campaign for our man.

“We are not leaving anything to chance; we are not taking anything for granted and we are not going to ignore anyone in our bid to drive a collective support for Mr. Jegede.

“He is unarguably the best candidate for the job and by divine arrangement of our Creator, a well-packaged man to govern the Sunshine state with Great Plans for Great Results to achieve a Greater Ondo Together,” the coalition said.

ISE has however tasked the people of the State to be wary of dangerous propaganda ahead of the contentious days of campaigns, noting that many irrelevant subjects would be cooked up to distract them from focusing on the leadership qualities of Jegede.

“Possibilities abound that the opponents of our candidate may raise frivolous issues totally unconnected to his campaign plans and party manifesto to distract them from the main issue of governance. Don’t fall for it,” the group said in the statement.
