Senator Ben Murray-Bruce on Thursday called on the Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh to look into the cost of transporting agricultural and food products.
He made the call when he took the floor to speak as the Senate continued with its plenary session.
According to the senator, the poor transport network and cost has led to the increase in prices of agricultural products.
He went ahead to give statistics to buttress his point stating that while prices of food products like rice and garri has increased, minimum wage remained static.
Also touching on the security of the nation, Mr Murray-Bruce explained that money will only go to where there is peace and concluded by saying that money now runs away from Nigeria because of this,
