Wednesday’s rescheduled match between hosts Abia Warriors and FC Ifeanyi Ubah will go ahead at the Umuahia Township Stadium after it was cleared to continue to stage league matches.
At the weekend, the League Management Company (LMC) sent an inspection team to the stadium to ascertain the suitability of the arena.
Had it not been cleared, the match would have been played at an alternative venue.
Abia Warriors are battling to stay up in the premier league, while IfeanyiUbah are among the front runners to win this season’s championship.
The match was originally scheduled for Sunday but could not be played as the Umuahia Stadium was under the scrutiny of the LMC.
With the clean bill of health given the stadium by the LMC inspection team, the match which holds a lot for both teams will now be played tomorrow.
