Oritsejafor gave Nigerian Christians hope- Edijala

By Ephraim Oseji

Immediate past Chairman of Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon.  Raymond Edijala has commended the leadership qualities of the former President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, PastorAyo Oritsejafor.

Speaking in Warri,   after the swearing-in   of Dr. Supo Ayokunle as new CAN President, Edijala stressed that Oritsejafor has given the body of Christ in Nigeria a selfless, word based leadership, high moral value, integrity, wisdom from above, vigor and an inherent drive for unity.

According to him, Oritsejafor’s achievement as the first Pentecostal CAN President in a very vicious political, social and economical disposition of Nigeria is worthy of commendation, maintained that   the former CAN   President’s courage, charisma and divine boldness has given   Christians   like him hope, adding that his activities had indeed shown him as a father and leader of Christians.

“As a human, you were not above mistakes, but the grace was more than sufficient in the face of unfounded and lucifer induced criticisms.  I love you Papa.  Keep the good work of faith burning,” Edijala advised him, just as he pointed out that Oritsejafor fought a good fight within the laws of God and of the land to reposition Christianity in Nigeria.

He noted that as a good Christian leader, despite being antagonized by his foes who equally used some senseless Christians to attack him, Oritsejafor stood his ground and ensured that all in all, his tenure was a success.

He prayed for God to bless Oritsejafor, adding that   God   should open   the eyes of those Christians to see the reality of his leadership qualities.
