Mrs Buhari urges religious leaders to wade into divorce cases

ABUJA – Wife of the president, Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has urged religious leaders in the country to wade into rampant cases of divorces amongst married couples with the view of finding a solution to the problem.aisha

She also asked wealthy Nigerians to extend goodwill to the less privileged in the society to mitigate the effect and dynamics of peculiar economic challenges.

Mrs. Buhari gave the advise in Kano while presenting assorted food items to the Wife of the state Governor Dr. Hafsatu Ganduje for distribution to the less privileged members in the state.

A statement by her media aide, Mr. Zakari Nadabo on Saturday stated that the President’s wife noted the “extension of goodwill in any way possible will help checkmate unforeseen shortcomings among the less privileged and strengthen their capacity to respond to the imperatives of capacity building and meet other obligations”

Mrs. Buhari who pledged commitment to enhance the welfare of women and children through her pet project “Future Assured” also frowned the level of levity being to girl child education.

She said that “the education of the girl child is education for the society.

The Wife of the President was also at the kano central prison where she donated drugs for the upkeep of the inmates as a reminder that” they are not forgotten ” and urged them to see their seclusion as a pathway to rehabilitation and reformation to become productive members of the society after regaining freedom.

Mrs Buhari was also at the Palace of the Emir Of Kano, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi where he expressed appreciation for her gesture to the people of Kano state .
