Alimosho community leader debunks deposition story

A community leader in  shasha, lagos state, alhaji abdurauf tijjani, has denied media report by someone he described as self enthroned oba of shasha, babatunde ogunrombi, who alleged that a judge of federal high court, and some people were working vigorously to dethrone him.

Oba Ogunrombi had in the publication, urged in a letter to the chief judge of federal high court, justice ibrahim auta, to intervene over alleged plot by some persons working in concert with the judge to forcefully and unlawful dethrone him as shasha oba.

denying the allegation  of his dethronement, one of the persons fingered by the monarch, alhaji  tijjani,  described the monarch as a squatter, who the court had been ordered to be arrested by the police, following a bench warrant issued against him and others and bring him before the court.

according to tijjani: “on january 31, 2014, justice musa kurya of federal high court, lagos, now on transfer to jos division of the court, deliver a judgment in suit no. fhc/l/1665/2013.

on february 14, 2014, the judge also gave an order to enforce the judgement of january 31, 2014. while on february 24, 2014, the judge also granted an order compelling the ig, and cp of lagos state, to provide adequate security for the enforcement of the judgement.

“the judge also made an order compelling lagos state government to produce letter of governor’s approval that appoint oba lawal as oba of shasha kingdom, and because the lagos state government failed, and did not produce the letter appointing the oba, at the trial.

the judgement was awarded in favour of akinlowo and others plaintiffs while n30 million was awarded against the oba and other respondents.
