Toyota Nigeria Limited, TNL, has dedicated its latest award by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI, to its loyal customers across the country. Toyota won the ‘High Standard in Automobile Service award” at the event and was the only automobile company recognised at the ceremony. The annual LCCI award was attended by high networth individuals from the corporate world, who converged at the Muson Centre, Lagos, to grace the occasion. According to LCCI the award was instituted to recognise deserving sectors of the economy and 19 awards were presented to different organisations for standing out in their various sectors.
In the automobile category, Toyota lived up to its superior quality slogan by emerging the only automobile brand to receive an award at the event. Receiving the award, the Managing Director of Toyota Nigeria, Mr Kunle Ade-Ojo, expressed appreciation for the recognition and promised that it would spur them the more to give Toyota customers the best quality and service at all times.
While dedicating the award to all Toyota loyal customers, Mr. Ade-Ojo said: “We are promising our customers our unrelenting commitment to international best practice and excellent customer service delivery at every customer touch point.” The well -attended award was graced by notable individuals from the health, manufacturing, agriculture, education, real estate, banking, diplomats, etc.
According to LCCI, the metrics for selecting awardees cut across different considerations which include the positive impact the company made on the society through building increased confidence in people and wealth creation, compliance with set standard, regulations, level of disclosure, enhanced product and services through innovation for increased value and excellent customer service and service delivery.
Eminent personalities that graced the occasion among many others, were the Deputy Governor of Lagos State Dr. (Mrs) Idiat Oluranti Adebule, who represented the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa; the Director-General of Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, Mrs. Sally Mbanefo; President of LCCI, Mrs. Nike Akande, who is also a former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; the immediate past president of LCCI, and Ashiwaju Solomon Onafowakan, Chief Phillip Asiodu, a former minister of petroleum.
