Cardinal Arinze offers holy mass from Vatican for late Muojeke

ONITSHA – The Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of Sacrament in the Vatican City, Cardinal Francis Arinze has offered to celebrate a holy mass in far away Vatican City, Rome, for the repose of the soul of late Hon. Raphael Muojeke, a Knight of St. Mulumba, KSM in the Catholic Church, first Republic parliamentarian and oldest lawyer in the South East region who died in Onitsha, Anambra state on March 21, this year, after a protracted illness.

Cardinal Arinze who made the voluntary offer in a telephone conversation from the Vatican city while commiserating with the son of the late Muojeke, Obiora, said he would celebrate the mass for his late father the next day.

The cardinal therefore urged the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude as according to him, God who knows the best, giveth and taketh.

Muojeke’s death came barely few weeks after the Parish Priest of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Adazi-Enu, Rev. Fr. Simeon Okafor (Ezemuo) voluntarily visited Pa Muojeke’s residence at Fegge, Onitsha and celebrated a holy mass for the then living legend.

Similarly, former governor of Abia state, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu also in a telephone conversation with the bereaved family members, expressed shock that a guru in the person of Pa Muojeke has gone and prayed to accept his soul in eternal glory.
