MAN expo to empower manufacturers on business, finance management, others

Manufacturing companies in the country and their counterparts from across the world will be converging in Lagos from 15-17 this month. They are expected to benefit from shared expertise and best practice from sectors including; business management, finance, pharmaceutical, packaging, automotive, agro and food and beverage processing.

In a statement, the organisers disclosed that GEA West Africa, Clearpack Singapore, Kautex Maschinenbau GmbH, Festo Automation, Miele Packaging, Gil Automation, the Bühler Group and Thomson & Grace are among the big names that will showcase their manufacturing equipment at the event.

Moreso, the third annual Manufacturing Partnerships for African Development, mPAD will take place alongside the expo. It is an invitation only set of round table discussions chaired by the President of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) and the DG of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment of Nigeria.

Also, it is expected to host; federal government agencies, ECOWAS officials, the MAN executive committee, international trade departments and export councils as well as C-level industrialists and financiers.

Also, the exhibition also offers free industry training and knowledge building conference sessions presented for the industry, as the Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) is bringing Ten Indian Companies to showcase their products and services. The Nigeria-German Business Association (NGBA) will also have a pavilion at the event.

Highlights of the Expo’s conference sessions included: Modern Experience for Manufacturing, Austin Oshodi, Oracle, The next step: How to make the most efficient use of your funding, Joseph Babatunde, General manager, Bank of Industry (BOI), SMEs/Manufacturing Sector – Key to Economic Diversification in Nigeria, Linus Iwuajoku, Team Lead, Research & Market Intelligence, Diamond Bank.

Others are; Business Environment Review, Whyte Otokini H, Trade Promotion Officer, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI, Manufacturing in Nigeria: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, Tolu Adesalu, Head of Procurement – West Africa , Cadbury Nigeria PLC, Innovation in Packaging, Mr Mike Adekola, President, Institute of Packaging Nigeria (IOPN) and How to improve quality/reduce mistakes and the importance of food safety, Adrian Naidoo, Country Manager, Bühler Group.
