Also, Delta Ijaw Youth Assembly, DIYA, has called on Gbaramatu subjects to support the new Pere, saying that the new monarch has ushered in a new dawn of peace and development for the kingdom.

DIYA’s President, Ebimobowei Oguma, in a statement through its Secretary,  Gbaboyo Wurus, said that the enthronement of a new king in the oil rich Gbaramatu Kingdom at this point in time showed the peaceful nature of the people.

He called on the people to rally round their new monarch and support him to foster peace in their domain as that was the only way development could be achieved in the entire kingdom.

Pledging loyalty to the monarch, he urged the people to honour the traditional stool as the king symbolised the culture and tradition of the people.

On his part, Hitler, a chief from Gbaramatu, in a statement, yesterday, in Warri, also enjoined the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom to remain united and live in peace, just as he expressed gratitude to God for giving Gbaramatu people a new king, who is endowed with wisdom to rule efficiently and effectively.

He said: “God, in His wisdom, has given the people of Gbaramatu a new king who is a symbol of peace, love and unity among the people of Gbaramatu, no doubt his reign will attract development to the kingdom.”

Hitler, however, noted that a king would rule well when his subjects gives him the needed support and cooperation, adding, “I am optimistic that the new Gbaramatu monarch is God sent and therefore, the monarch should be supported by all sons and daughters of the kingdom.”
