Early results from the Abia North re-run election seemed to favour Senator Mao Ohuabunwa of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.This is according to unofficial results from parts of the senatorial district.

Dr. David Onuoha-Bourdex of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and the former governor of the state, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu of the Progressives Peoples Alliance, PPA are also recording impressive votes.

However the early results seem not to favour Nnenna Nma Lancaster-Okoro of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The election took place in 808 polling units of 57 wards in the five Local government areas of the Senatorial District.

Please note that these results are yet to be confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the only body recognised by law to declare election result.
