Akure—NO fewer than five gunmen have reportedly kidnapped Mrs Queen Adeyeye, a widow, who is a pharmacist with the Federal Medical Centre FMC, Owo, Ondo State,  after returning from a Church vigil.

Vanguard gathered that she was ambushed by the kidnappers at her residence located at Ishelu Quarters, Owo area of the state on Saturday.

The victim according to Police detectives reportedly lost her husband recently and was abducted on her way from church where she went for prayer to mark the first anniversary of her husband’s death.

She was said to be in the same car with her son and sister when the hoodlums struck.

Sources said that on returning from the vigil at 5:30a.m., the kidnappers said to have laid ambushed for her at the house ascosted her  and asked the other two occupants to disengage before she was driven away to an unknown destination.

Vanguard gathered that the hoodlums waited for the gateman of the house to open the gate and they quietly followed her car and asked the son and her sister to get out of the car before zooming off.

Sources close to the family said:,  “They were coming from the church vigil on Saturday morning, as the gate was opened for them to go into the compound, the armed men came in with them. They asked the son and her sister to come down from the vehicle and drove only her (Adeyeye) away to an unknown destination.”

At press time,  the abductors have not contacted the victim’s family to discuss ransom but the matter had been reported at the Owo Divisional Police station.
