Emerhor, Ogboru urged to halt legal battle with Okowa

ASABA—Coordinator of Urhobo Solidarity Forum, Chief Smith Asohro, has called on the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the April 2015 general election, Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor and his Labour Party, LP, counterpart, Chief Great Ogboru, to halt further legal proceedings against Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, to enable him deliver on his SMART agenda.

Asohro, in a statement in Asaba, pointed out that the legal battles against the governor were not in the best interest of the state, adding, “The emergence of Okowa is the divine will of God.”

Noting that both “Ogboru and Emehor are qualified to be governors of the state,” he urged them to be patient and join hands with Governor Okowa to develop the state.

He maintain that Okowa has done well for Delta Central, considering the appointments so far given to the Urhobo, adding, “There is no kingdom in Urhoboland that does not have an appointee. I, therefore, urge Urhobo sons and daughters to support the government of Governor Okowa for a better Delta State.”
