The leadership of the National President of Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, SSANU, Comrade Samson Ugwoke, may have endeared him to the members as majority of the union members have unanimously endorse his second term in office.
At the last National Executive Council, NEC, meeting in Jos, Plateau State, two out of the three zones of the union, Northern and Eastern zones, endorsed Ugwoke for second term, while manhy members from the Western zone also urged him to recontest.
The Integrity Group, speaking on the forthcoming election of national officers, described Ugwoke as detribalised, charismatic and a leader who has repositioned SSANU since he came onboard.
It applauded the achievements of the SSANU president since he took the mantle of leadership of the union.
“The only basis or valid point for continuity in office is sterling performance. Such performance should be encompassing, impacting and verifiable,” the group said.
