The 2015 Regional Convention Series of Jehovah’s Witnesses enter the final lap this weekend in Ota, Ogun State.

The convention series, with the theme, ‘’Imitate Jesus, which started in late September, would be concluded between December 9 and 13, 2015.

A statement by the Ota 9-12 Convention Series Media Services Department said: “The programme starts at 8:20 a.m. each day and closes at 3:50 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2:45 p.m. on Sunday. We warmly invite interested members of the public to attend the programme free of charge. Everyone is invited and no collection will be taken.”

The statement gave the highlights of the convention to include a moving two-part theatrical production that will portray events in Jesus’ life, interviews and demonstrations on practical ways to imitate Jesus today, as well as the special Bible discourse, entitled “Jesus Christ, World Conqueror—How and When?” to be presented on Sunday morning.

It quoted J. R. Brown, spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses at their world headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, USA, as saying: “This year’s convention theme recognises Jesus Christ as a universally known figure and a positive role model for people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures.

“We believe that the public will enjoy the fresh presentation of significant events in Jesus’ life. This year’s programme promises an interactive approach, incorpo- rating meaningful and exciting video features that will show how we can benefit from imitating Jesus in our everyday lives.”
