LP wants Obiano to end JUSUN strike

By Vincent Ujumadu

Awka—THE Labour Party, LP, in Anambra State yesterday urged Governor Willie Obiano to address the demands of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, so as to end the ongoing strike of the judiciary workers.

The strike has brought the state judiciary to its knees as no court had opened for the past three months.

Anambra chairman of the party, Mr. Luke Ezeanokwasa, said during a meeting of LP members in Awka that the failure of the governor to provide good          governance on many sectors was already working as an advantage to LP, adding that LP leadership was already shopping for credible candidates to take over from the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2017 governorship election.

At the meeting, Ezeanokwasa directed officials of the party at all levels to begin the search for credible   persons who could win the governorship election for the party to offer the people of the state the desired democracy dividends.
