Those screened yesterday are Pastor Usani Usani Nguru, Barigadier General Mansur Mohammed Dan’ali, Zainab Ahmed, Geofrey Onyema and Abubakar Bawa Bwari and Professor Adewole Folorunsho.

More so it was a dramatic twist at Ministerial Screening this morning as the three Senators threw their weight behind the ministerial nominee from Sokoto State, Aisha Abubakar, saying they have withdrawn the petition against her.

In a letter read by Senate President Bukola Saraki, the three Senators from Sokoto State said the withdrawal became imperative following wide consultations from their constituencies and with their constituents.

The Senators are Ibrahim Gobir, APC, Sokoto East; Aliyu Wammako, Sokoto North and Ibrahim Abdullahi, Sokoto South.

It would be recalled that Aisha had last week faced the senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions following a petition written against her by sokoto women.
