Senegal Under-23 coach, Saliou Mbacke Dia believes that Nigeria was lucky to have escaped defeat in their last group B match of the All Africa Games, but according to the coach, it will not be so easy, if they meet at the CAF Under-23 tournament billed for November 28 – December 12.
The draws for the competition, which is an Olympic qualification tournament, were released yesterday. Senegal, the hosts are drawn in the same group with South Africa, Tunisia and Zambia, and Nigeria is in group B alongside Egypt, Algeria and Mali.
“Nigeria was lucky to have scored in the dying minutes. But I believe that we still meet again in the Under-23 tournament,” said the coach.
Siasia, on his part, stated that he was happy with the draw and he is hoping that his team will pick one of the three tickets to the Olympics in Rio, Brazil.
The Senegalese capital, Dakar will host Group A while Group B will be based in M’Bour.
