Church N1,000-flat estate in Lagos ready

By Bashir Adefaka

The units of self-contained flats project, embarked upon by Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, are receiving finishing touches and are expected to be commissioned soon.

This hint was dropped by the founder and spiritual leader of the church, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, as part of the activities marking this year’s edition of the Inri Youth Thanksgiving, held in the church premises.

Ayodele, who splashed prizes on successful participants in various competitions during the event, said it was the intention of the church to encourage the young to grow and empower the grown ups to live good lives. He added that it was part of the efforts to make life better for members of the church and Lagosians that Inri came up with health service delivery, housing and school projects that would be made available  at costs affordable for the masses. The Primate, reviewing the activities of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government in the last three months, said the President had done well.  He urged Nigerians to stop the criticism of  Buhari’s appointments and support him to succeed.

“People should stop saying Buhari’s appointments are northernised.  A good leader who wants to succeed must work with good and trusted people regardless of their ethnic or religious leaning. I cannot do more assessment for now of Buhari’s administration other than to say that, so far, he has not failed both God and the people of Nigeria.  He is doing well”, Ayodele stated.

“But the political class in Edo, Kogi, Bayelsa and Ondo should beware so as not to crash out.  Oshiomhole should look inward for his successor.  If he searches his successor from outside, APC will lose in Edo State coming election. The Bayelsa election will be tough for Governor Dickson. With Abubakar Audu in Kogi, there is hot contest ahead.”
