ABUJA – All Progressives Congress, APC has banned its support groups from holding meetings at the conference hall of its national secretariat in Abuja for unruly and violent behaviors.

In the letter signed by Abdullahi Gashu’a, the Director of Administration of the APC, the party directed the groups use other places within the neighbourhood for their activities.

‎”We have observed with great concern the arbitrary use of the conference hall of the party particularly by the support groups. In as much as we recognised and indeed appreciate your efforts towards mobilizing support for our party, we are of the view that your activities will serve the interest of the party better when conducted within your neighbourhood.

“To this end, be informed from henceforth, no group would be allowed to use the hall for what ever programme “, the statement read.

It will be recalled that the support groups which run into several have been having a leadership crisis dating back in May when the interim leadership of the groups was composed by the National Working Committee, NWC of the party.

Since then the crisis had continued unabated despite interventions by the deputy national chairman (South), Segun Oni.
