Lagos—Magistrate O. O. Fowowe-Erusiafe of an Ebute-Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting at Oyingbo, yesterday, remanded 19-year-old Ibrahim Ogunkoya in prison custody, for allegedly stabbing one Toyin Eniolan, 18, to death.
Ogunkoya, a footballer, was arraigned on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and murder, preferred against him by the police.
The prosecutor, Inspector Gbemileke Agoi, had earlier told the court that the defendant stabbed Eniola in his armpit because he had snatched his girlfriend.
The defendant’s plea was not taken; the court adjourned the case to October 19 for hearing.
