Abuja – Beautiful Tour Babes Football Club on Sunday defeated State House Queens FC of Abuja 3-0 in one of the matches in the ongoing 2014/2015 Nigeria Women Professional Football League (NWPFL).
The Beautiful Tour Babes dominated the match from the first blast of the whistle.
They held sway with good passes which made the match a bit tough for their opponents.
Mercy Emeka opened scoring for Beautiful Tour Babes three minutes into the game, while Patience Aborode scored the second goal in the 43rd minute.
Blessing Omoriode got a chance to score for State House Queens in the 52nd minute, which she missed.
However, it was Patience Emmanuel who went on to score the third goal for the Beautiful Tour Babes in the 67th minute.
At the end of the match, John Adetu, Head Coach of Beautiful Tour Babes FC, said he was surprised that his team won the game because their opponents played well.
“Our opponent played better than my girls I must confess, but I am happy that we won. The god of soccer was on our side,’’ he said.(NAN)
