Awka—THE senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone, Dr. Andy Uba, has promised the people of the zone more effective representation, commending them for the trust in him. Uba spoke after attending thanksgiving services at the Catholic and Anglican Churches at Uga, his home town.
After the church services, Senator Uba, while addressing the mammoth crowd, thanked them for their continued support and loyalty and promised that his second term in the Senate would usher in better representation for the seven local government areas that make up the zone.
He specifically promised them that the dilapidated Nnewi-Okigwe federal road would be included in the federal government budget for re-construction. He also thanked the oil magnet, Prince Arthur Eze and others for supporting him financially towards his re-election.
In his homily during the church service, Archdeacon David Obiagbaoso of the Anglican Church said that thanksgiving was a biblical injunction, which should be practised by true believers. “Thanksgiving is a testimonial of humility because it locates God’s position in every success story,” he said.
Among those who attended the church services included, Prince Arthur Eze, Sen. Ben Obi, Mrs. Eucharia Azodo, former Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr. Chris Azubogu, member, House of Representatives and Mrs. Oby Iguh.
