NEXT of Kins (NoKs) of the Federal Pensio-ners, yesterday, besieged the headquarters of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) in Abuja over what they described as lackadaisical attitude of the management of PTAD towards their plights.
But PTAD insisted that it was not the one responsible for their problem, noting that ‘NoKs are new set of pensioners’ that must be handled with care.
The protesters, who were mainly the Next of Kins of the Federal Colleges of Education’s Pensioners across the country, alleged that PTAD and other agencies related to pension matter had turned them to ball, being passed up and down.
Speaking on behalf of the protesters, Olusola Arohunmolase explained that they had been verified and cleared before PTAD was created, and their money from the consolidated fund had been approved by the presidency, adding that the only thing was for the PTAD to release their schedule to Accountant General’s office for payment.
