A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Ogbueshi Sam Abumujor, has described persons denying the role APC governorship candidate for Delta, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has been playing as the main financier of the party in the state “as ingrates at best or non-members of the party.”
Addressing newsmen, yesterday, in Asaba, Abumujor claimed that “one of the greatest challenges we faced in this party is so-called leaders not willing to sacrifice from their pocket for the greater good of the party, yet insisting on getting what they clearly did not work for.”
Alleging that certain members of the party were “PDP spies in our midst,” Abumujor claimed that “Olorogun Emerhor is not only our chief financier, but also the most reliable person party members could regularly approach to fund party activities before, during and after the elections.”
According to him: “All these people making all the noise, claiming they financed the party, how come we never received any support from them while suffering for the party in the field. Many of them were nowhere to be seen and the only person we still ended up running back to was the same Chief O’tega.
“Even more tragic is the fact that many of them collected money from O’tega and disappeared without conscience.”
