Don’t recognise PDP as winner, Ojukwu’s son tells INEC

By Nwabueze Okonkwo

ONITSHA — Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance,  APGA, for Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo federal constituency of Anambra State in last week’s National Assembly election, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (jnr) has advised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC not to issue any certificate of return to his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP rival, Chris Emeka Azubogu, yet as the acclaimed winner of the election in the interest of peace and stability.

Ojukwu, who yesterday reacted to the outcome of the National Assembly election at Nnewi, told newsmen that the result of the election as declared by the INEC was not the true reflection of the wishes of the electorate in the constituency and, as such, would not be  acceptable to him.

He accused the PDP of perpetrating what he described as an act of electoral brigand and daylight robbery during the election in the constituency.
