BENIN—GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has warned that the military should be left out of politics as the consequence of doing so would be disastrous.
Speaking while flagging off the reconstruction and dualisation of the 3.6km 2nd East Circular Road in Benin City, Oshiomhole said he was happy that the world has denounced the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the postponement of the general elections.
He said: “Those who said they were helpless over Boko Haram have said in six weeks, they would do what they could not do in six years, which means somebody knew what should be done and failed to do it so that they could postpone elections.
“All over the world, the PDP Federal Government is being denounced. I am happy that the world is with Nigeria, from America to the United Kingdom and Europe, the PDP Federal Government is being denounced for postponing the election.
“We are warning them not to drag the military into politics because that could be very dangerous.”
