Yenagoa—The Bayelsa State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Col. Samuel Inokoba (retd) has been suspended by the State Working Committee, SWC, of the party over alleged charges of misconduct and diversion of N40 million campaign fund provided for the party.
The decision to suspend the state PDP Chairman was taken, Tuesday, after an exhaustive deliberation by members of the State Executive Committee, SEC.
But Inokoba, through his media aide, Nelson Agada, dismissed his purported suspension as untrue and urged those he described as desperate politicians to channel their resources and energies to the development of the people and the state at large.
Though the Deputy Chairman, King Serena Dokubo-Spiff, it was gathered, was absent at the meeting due to personal commitments in Port Harcout, Rivers State, the Publicity Secretary of the Party, Osom Makbere, confirmed the development.
He, however, declined to go into details, explaining that the decision of the SEC, had been forwarded to the national leadership of the party and awaiting ratification.
