ONITSHA—Senator Alphonsus Ubanesse Igbeke, the Director-General of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA Campaign Organization for Anambra State Elections, has expressed optimism that APGA will win all the senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly seats in Anambra State during the March and April 2015 general elections.
He urged members to intensify their campaign activities, using the window created by the shift in election dates to cover remaining grounds if any, to ensure total and resounding victory for the party in the elections.
Igbeke said those condemning the recent postponement of the elections should sheath their sword and reflect on what would have been the fate of over 34 percent of the total 68 million registered voters that would have been disenfranchised had Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC not shifted the polls.
He charged all APGA candidates to capitalize on the shift to further consolidate their popularity and winning strings.
Senator Igbeke opined that the achievements recorded by Governor Willie Obiano’s administration in less than one year in office were enough to guarantee landslide victory for the party and affirmed that the candidates fielded by the party were the best for the elections.
He however condemned the continued engagement in campaign activities by some candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State whose names were recently removed by the Court of Appeal, arguing that any of them found campaigning should be arrested and prosecuted.
While aligning himself with
