Ahead of the general elections, the House of Representatives candidate for Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency, Delta State, on the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Perez Omoun, has enjoined youths in Bomadi not to succumb to intimidation from opposition parties and vote according to their conscience.
Omoun, who gave the advice at a consultation visit with youths in Bomadi Federated Communities, said it was imperative that people of his constituency needed a man who would carry their burden to government, not a man who will use the people to climb the ladder of power only to forget them when he gets to power.
He noted that he is vying for the position to represent the people “beyond handouts”, pointing out that he aims to attract federal presence to the area as well as create jobs for the teeming youths. “I want to rival someone that has been misrepresenting us.”
“ Don’t be afraid of these people. If they bring money, collect it because it is your money and you have the rights to eat it but do not sell your conscience,” he said, noting that Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency has lost 16years with 16 constituency projects.
