ABUJA—Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock over the latest attacks by Boko Haram on Maiduguri, Konduga and Monguno in Borno State.

A statement by Mallam Garba Shehu, Director of Media & Publicity, Buhari campaign office quoted Buhari as expressing his condolences to all those, including Nigerian soldiers affected by the latest insurgent attacks.

Buhari, however, said the situation in the affected areas won’t last forever.

He said; “While I commiserate with the victims of this despicable orgy of violence in Borno State, I equally implore them to bear in mind that this situation won’t last forever.

“In spite of the incompetent handling of this insurgency by the Federal Government, solution is in sight with the APC set to dislodge the PDP administration that has ruinously led this great country for nearly 16 years.”
