Enyimba striker Chimezie Amanfor has said his side are poised to win the Federation Cup title for their staunch and teeming supporters.
The Cup holders will confront challengers, Dolphins in this year’s Cup final billed for the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos today.
Amanfor said his side will certainly see off the stiff challenge of the Garden City side to win for their supporters who wanted a double from his side in the outgoing football season.
“We want to win the Federation Cup trophy for our supporters to make them happier though they actually wanted us, to win the league title too.
“We’ve already won the Caf Champions League ticket courtesy of our second placement on the league but we want to deliver proper silverware to them.
“It’s certain to be a great day against Dolphins but we’re expecting nothing short of outright victory.
“We’ll maintain the existing tradition as we’re yet to lose to Dolphins either in Aba or Port Harcourt, at least, since I joined Enyimba three seasons ago and we’re determined to extend the tradition to a neutral ground in Lagos.
“I’ve deepest respect for Dolphins, they’re good side with quality players but I’m sure we’ve better players, too who will undo them when both sides clash on Sunday.
“It’s going to be a difficult match as both sides know themselves inside out but we’ve the edge over them in recent times.”
