A 12-week long symposium that will address issues surrounding the 2015 election in Nigeria will begin today at the Alvan Ikoku Hall of the Dream centre, 8, Gbagada expressway, Anthony, Lagos.
Expected at the election series as guests are former Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Former Minister of National Planning, Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi; former PDP National Chairman, Chief Audu Ogbeh; Chairman, Civil Society Network Against Corruption, Mr. Lanre Suraj; former Minister of Defence, Mr. Musiliu Obanikoro amongst others.
Fayemi will speak on the theme; “2015 Election: What has faith got to do with it?” while Chief Gbadamosi and GLEEHD Foundation’s trustee will chair the opening of the series.
The symposium organised by GLEEHD Foundation is expected to explore how religion is playing a role in the forthcoming election, especially in terms of choice of aspirants and party flag bearers.
Other themes to be discussed are National Security Priorities and 2015 Election, Foreign Policy and the 2015 Election, Emerging Leaders and the 2015 Election, 2015 Election: Detecting and deterring electoral manipulations, tribunal, Supreme Court and the 2015 election, Should the 2015 Election be militarized and Gender Priorities for the 2015 Election.
