ASABA—CHAIRMAN, Delta State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Mr. Elijah Ologe, has warned staff of the board to take their jobs seriously.
Addressing workers of the board in Asaba on assumption of office, he said that the board will not tolerate lateness to work and closure from work before official closing hour, insisting that anyone caught flouting the directives would be dealt with accordingly.
Ologe said that the changes in the board and directives from the new management were not meant to witch hunt anybody, but to correct the impression of some persons that SUBEB was an unnecessary parastatal of government.
He said that the changes already made were to put the workers in check and assured that those found culpable of any misdemeanor would be sanctioned.
He charged them to be dedicated to duty and solicited that the support given to the previous board members should be extended to the current board.
