Lagos—Ahead of the Lagos All Progressives Congress, APC primaries, the party has cleared 207 of the 315 aspirants who obtained nomination forms to contest for the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Deputy Publicity Secretary, Mr. Abiodun Salami, who disclosed this yesterday in an interview with Vanguard, said that the aspirants who chose to be the party standard bearers in their various constituencies were cleared after fulfilling the basic requirements.
He noted that 95 of the nomination forms were not certified by the party for various reasons.
Salam disclosed further that ten aspirants were absent during the screening exercise while three withdrew for reasons best known to them.
He said any aspirant who feels dissatisfied could appeal the decision of the party, adding that the party is set to conduct credible and transparent primaries next month.
