Okitipupa (Ondo State) – The police on Wednesday charged a 16-year- old, Olabode Faniyi, in an Okitipupa Magistrates’ Court in Ondo State with burglary and theft of N10,000.
The accused, of no fixed address or occupation, is standing trial on three counts of felony, burglary and stealing.
The prosecutor, Insp. Zedekiah Orogbemi, told the court that the accused with one other person, currently at large, conspired to commit felony.
Orogbemi said that the accused burgled the room of one Godwin Awuka at No. 3, Ogunseun St., Idepe, Okitipupa, around 10.30a.m., on May 18, and stole N10,000.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened sections 516, 411 and 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Cap.37, Vol.1, Laws of Ondo State, 2006.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mr Funsho Akintoye, granted the accused bail in the sum of N10,000 and two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case till July 7 for further hearing. (NAN)
