After recovering from that uninspiring start against Iran to record the crucial win over Bosnia, the Nigeria Football Federation have charged the Eagles to go all out and beat Argentina in tomorrow’s last group match in Port Alegre.
A draw with the South American team safely guarantees Eagles passage to the next round as runners-up but a win would see the Eagles on top as leaders.
‘’I know that many people will think it is an impossible task. For us, it is possible. The Argentines have been unconvincing in their last two games except for the brilliance of Messi. We’re totally convinced that the Eagles can beat Argentina from what we saw them play against Bosnia.
We’re solidly behind them and have made sure that they lack nothing in the World Cup. All monies agreed with them are intact to the last game. There is no division in the team. We’ve a harmonious relationship with them and they are happy about that. The team is united and the spirit is high. The boys also know what it means to play in the World Cup and what it does to them professionally.
The fantastic win by Algeria over South Korea will add as a boost to the Eagles. I’m particularly impressed with their rock-solid defence”, Chief Emeka Inyama, Chairman Media Committee of the NFF siad.
