Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has revealed that he is targeting victory in the Super Eagles final Group F clash with Argentina Wednesday.
Even a loss against the South American opponents would be adequate for the African champions to progress to the next round provided that Iran do not get a victory against already eliminated Bosnia and Herzegovina.
‘’We can win, of course. Let’s get the win even try to be the group leader. We defeated Bosnia, we played a good game, we can get another win.
‘’I never think about losing. We know we can qualify even in defeat, but I do not think about it.
‘’If I lose, I’ll have to pray for Bosnia to get points from Iran and I do not have to do that. I have to prepare my team to win,’’ Keshi said.
The Nigeria squad arrived Porto Alegre, venue of the meeting with the Albicelestes, on Monday afternoon and will have a short rest before leaving for the Arena do Grêmio for a workout.
The Super Eagles have never beaten Argentina in three previous meetings at the World Cup.
