IBADAN — FORMER Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State has finally joined other governorship aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state.
Akala, who governed the state between 2007 and 2011, said his coming for re-election in the state was to show a ‘red card’ to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state and the South-West.
He boasted that the broom party had messed up governance in the zone, adding that with the re-election of Ayodele Fayose in Ekiti, the people had seen the alleged deception of the APC governors.
He vowed that in the same manner that PDP won Ekiti election, it would also sweep other states including Osun, Ogun and Oyo States.
Akala spoke in Ogbomoso during his adoption as PDP candidate in Ogbomoso zone yesterday.
