By Emma Amaize, Warri
DELTA State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has offered condolences to the Publisher of Vanguard Newspapers, Mr. Sam Amuka, aka Sad Sam, who lost his mother, Mrs. Teshoma Amuka-Pemu, recently.

Uduaghan, in a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sunny Ogefere, observed that although Mrs. Amuka-Pemu lived a fulfilled life, her death was still a big loss not only to the immediate family, but to the entire Delta State and Nigeria as a nation.

“I give all the glory to God who not only blessed the matriarch of the Amuka family with the gift of life but made her a role model and a source of blessing to her immediate family, Delta State and Nigeria.

“The success story of Mr. Sam Amuka, publisher of one of the leading titles in Nigeria, the Vanguard Newspaper, no doubt is an eloquent testimony of the nature of training and upbringing that he received from his late mother,” he said.

The governor said: “Notwithstanding the age and life lived, whenever a loved one transits from this earth to glory, an irreparable loss and vacuum is created. I therefore share in the grief that the death of Mama Teshoma has brought on the Amuka-Pemu family.”

“On behalf of the Government and good people of Delta State, I hereby extend my heartfelt condolences to you and the entire Amuka-Pemu family on the loss of our dear Mama,” he added.

Governor Uduaghan urged Mr. Amuka and the family to take solace in the good and rewarding life that the matriarch of the family lived while on earth.
