NANS condemns Chibok schoolgirls kidnap

UGHELLI—THE National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has condemned the abduction of over 200 students of Federal Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State by the Boko Haram Islamist sect.

NANS, Zone B, in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Pedro Obi, said: “This is not the best of time for us as a people and we must as a matter of urgent public importance, separate politics from the activities of Boko Haram, if we must make a headway in the fight against these blood suckers.

“This is the time for Nigerians of all class to form a concerted synergy and rally round President Goodluck Jonathan and support the Federal Government’s efforts at rescuing the abducted girls from the hands of Boko Haram sect.

“Terrorists cannot succeed when the people are united.
“The entire Nigerian students in South-South and South-East join Nigerian students all over the world, particularly Borno State students in prayers.
“We call on them in this trying moment to be more united as we fight this deadly monster in our society.”
