Ahead of the summer World Cup in Brazil, the Super Eagles are scheduled to take part in a pre-World Cup eight-team tournament alongside Spain and Ivory Coast.
The competition tagged ‘Road to Brazil’ which is being organized by the Major League Soccer (MLS) will take place in the United States between May 27 to June 10.
Other countries scheduled to take part in the competition are; Nigeria’s Group F opponents in the World Cup, Bosnia-Herzegovania alongside Honduras and Greece.
Bolivia and El Salvador who did not qualify for the World Cup will also feature in the competition.
Organisers said last night they hope the tourney will help teams going to Brazil prepare adequately for the biggest soccer competition in the world.
Eagles only at the weekend, won bronze at the African Nations Championship in South Africa, with Coach Stephen Keshi stating that he plans to take some of the outstanding players from CHAN to the World Cup.
Eagles next match is a friendly against Mexico in Atalanta on March 5 before the team proceed to Houston for a pre-World Cup camping.
Eagles are in the same Group with Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iran, who they kickoff their campaign against on June 16 in Curitibia.
