ABUJA — The Chief Medical Director, CMD, Federal Medical Centre, Keffi,  NasarawaState, Dr. Joshua Giyan, has lamented the upsurge in patients seeking medical attention in the hospital, saying the development was overstretching the facilities in place.

Giyan, who attributed the ‘unbearable increase’ in patients in the hospital to the proximity of Keffi to Abuja, the nation’s capital city, appealed to the Federal Government to look into the issue by assisting the hospital through prompt release of its allocation in the 2014 budget.

Dr. Giyan, who spoke to Vanguard in Abuja, said the hospital had a vision for expansion beyond the present 10 hectares of land it was occupying at the moment to accommodate some departments, but was beinghindered by inadequate funds at its disposal.
