In continuation of effots to  push for the signing into law of the Nigerian Violence Against Person’s Prohibition Bill, the Wellbeing Foundation teamed up with the National Orientation Agency, The Orange Foundation for Women and Children for the Eradication of Domestic Violence at the First Domestic Violence Summit.
With theme: “Do The Right Thing And Stop Domestic Violence”, the event was an eye-opener and a renewed call to action by all concerned.

Following her conferment as the “Outstanding Woman in the Cause for the Eradication of Domestic Violence” Award, Founder-President , The Wellbeing Foundation, Mrs Toyin Saraki, stated that “the First Domestic Violence Summit has come at a very apt time in our history, and we must all join our hands to support the raising of awareness about the problem; the offering of increased resources and efforts (including legal and financial aid, as well as the provision of safe havens) to victims; and advocating for stronger legislation, such as the full enactment of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Bill (VAPP Bill).”
