UGHELLI — NATIONAL Auditor of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, Chief Benjamin Ojugo, has appealed to the warring factions in Delta State chapter of the body to sheathe their swords.
Speaking with newsmen, Odjugo said the Midwest zone and national body of IPMAN told the warring factions to adhere to the position of government on the crisis, adding that the zone would not tolerate any action from any of the warring factions that would be inimical to peace.
While noting that such faction would be dealt with accordingly, he commended Delta State Government for intervening in the crises rocking the state chapter of IPMAN, Ojugo said: “I am strongly behind the stand of the state government that anyone found disrupting the prevailing peace and security of the state will be dealt with decisively according to the law.
“I want to charge the different warring factions of IPMAN to be law abiding, embrace peace and adhere to the National Assembly and the Delta State Government position on the matter while carrying out their daily activities.
“The position of the state government and the National Assembly that a caretaker committee should be set up when the tenure of the present IPMAN leadership expires in April 2014 and election should be conducted into the body three months after, must be adhered to by the warring factions.”
